1850’s 3.5” by 4 “ Daguerreotype cased photo of a man. Matted and glass cover. Opposite is velvet padding. Hinges and closure in great working order. Early commercial photography began in 1839-1860 with the expensive Daguerreotype. This is a part of my Mother-in-laws estate. She kept Everything with great care. Please note I am not an expert. This could be a ambrotype. This is in excellent condition for its age!
