Cabin Creek Medallion

This lovely round panel is 12 inches across and a completely custom and unique piece. I took a painted vintage medallion I’d cut from a huge globe bowl light shade and saved it for this project. Then I added glass in similar colors and made the leaf and stripe design. I used pre-tinned wire to attached the lead came wrapped medallion to suspend it in the center. These medallions were used frequently in Victorian times, and I estimate it to be painted originally around the 1880’s-1920’s. I meticulously cut out the medallions to save the hand painted design. It comes with chain for hanging and I still have three more medallions. I love this piece!
