This is an item I inherited from my parents. It's old, so I don't know the exact purchase date. My parents bought it for their overseas trips and used it a few times. When you open the lid, a chime sounds and a charging lamp lights up, but that's all. It seems like the film cassette inside has a built-in battery and charges from that, so it might work properly if you put in a new film cassette (this is just my guess).
Only the main unit and the instruction manual are included. (The cassette is included, but it's old.)
